Hello, my name is Susan Farris and my hobby is learning about the law. I have an uncle who is an attorney and I've always looked up to him and that's why I find subjects on law very interesting. Dismissal Might Be More Likely Than You Think
While the point of going to court is to prove that you are innocent, you might end up not having to prove anything at all. Some police departments don't have the manpower to send a cop to court on your hearing day to testify about what they saw. If you show up and state your case and no one that was actually involved in writing the ticket shows up, your lawyer can ask the judge for a dismissal.
